Taipei City is not only the city with abundant cultures and multifarious activities in Taiwan, but it also is the city that presents a hot spot of tourism for local and foreign tourists. 

Unique features of Taipei’s hotels, colorful tourist spots, and the full of vitalities of artistic and cultural activities in Taipei have much impressed tourists from every corner of the world.

The 2nd Taipei Hotel Festival in 2009 thus wants to introduce and market the unique features of Taipei’s hotels to central-and-southern Taiwan in the aim to attract people to have fun in Taipei as well as to experience unique cultures and lively characters of hotels in Taipei.

The Festival, in association with The 2009 World Game in Kaohsiung held in July and The 21st Summer Deaflympics Taipei 2009 held in September, also wants to attract foreign tourists to come to Taiwan, whilst accommodating in Taipei’s hotels, to enjoy Taipei’s rich cultures and opulent humanistic activities.            

Walking is a crucial ingredient of City Tourism. The programs of The 2nd Taipei Hotel Festival in 2009 wants to mold the Taipei City into the city that is friendly to tourists and to make Walking Tourism in Taipei is enjoyable and joyful, as well as having tourists fill up with beautiful memories on their way home. Thus tourists will taste the beauty of Taipei City through a series of programs, including Walking on Mountain Trails of Taipei City, Sailing on the Blue High Way, Biking at the Dajia Riverside Park and Tasting Traditional Snacks at Night Markets, Visiting Museums and Antiquities of Taipei. Tours of Combo Tickets , Taipei Hotel Card and Guide Manual will also be jointly issued in the effort to bring tourists into Taipei City
